This section is dedicated to my family and me. The bottom line poop: I have one husband, two kids, two cats, a dog, am a child of the 70's, and live in the Houston suburbs. I am also a figure skating fan and have this site for that. I also like web development but am just an amateur.
As I stated above, I have two kids. Now it's time to talk about them!
TJ is the youngest(11 years old). TJ's a creative kid who makes friends easily. He will be in 5th grade(last year of elementary school-they grow up so fast!) He likes playing games, Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, Jeff Gordon, and playing on the computer.
TJ has Tourette's Syndrome and some speech issues. Tourette's usually doesn't impair him too much except for impulsivity, which can at times present a challenge. Sometimes people think he is being mean(he's not) or strange but with the tics, he can't always control what he says. He often says what he thinks when he thinks it!
Antony is in many ways is your typical 13(almost 14) year old who loves school, Game Show Network, playing with his computer, NASCAR, Dale Earnhardt, Jr, and watching sports. Antony has a disability called Pervasive Developmental Disorder(or PDD) Lately, this has been more described as Asperger's Syndrome. Antony is basically a high functioning Austistic.
Some of the characteristics of this disorder lack of social skills typical for their age, little fear, high pain threshold, and various behavior problems. Antony also is hyperactive and until he began taking medication, he was hard to control and he did not learn very fast. Now that is he is older, the hyper part has calmed down a lot. The medication he is taking also helps. Antony is also VERY visual and observant. He is a neat kiddo for sure.
